On the topic of these current holy days of Sukkos, but applicable year-round:

“It is fitting to say the blessing over dwelling in the Sukkah aloud and slowly, and one should sing it with a melody like the other blessings of the Kiddush, for why should this blessing be of any less significance? On the contrary, this blessing is of greater significance, for it is the blessing over the commandment, commanded to us by the Almighty, to dwell in the Sukkah. So too, with all other blessings, a one should habituate oneself to pronounce them aloud, for the voice arouses the intent.”
