The Value of Friendship

“There is nothing better for a person than to seek upright friends who will shed light where he is blind and will rebuke him with love, and thereby they will save him from all evil.”

  2. Yes. (Am I now a “yes-man”?) But unfortunately, parents are often the LAST people children want to listen to, so the parents’ counsel may have the opposite impact. People are much more likely to listen to their friends. That’s why having GOOD friends — that is, the friends themselves are GOOD — is so important.
